Pre-Service
What is Pre-Service?
The Pre-Service coursework is designed to give candidates an introduction to critical aspects of teaching. It’s one of the preliminary steps that all candidates must complete in order to be considered for admission into our two year Teacher Internship Program. Our Spring Pre-Service Coursework runs from February to June.
How to Apply for the Pre-Service Program:
If you’re interested in enrolling in the Pre-Service courses at the FCSS Teachers College Internship Program, here are the steps you need to follow:
- Attend an Information Zoom Meeting to learn about the program and determine if you meet the eligibility criteria.
- You need to hold a Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution (official transcripts are required). If your degree is from a foreign institution, refer to the CTC Foreign Transcript Evaluation leaflet to find approved agencies for evaluation.
- Provide official transcripts from all institutions you attended, and make sure at least one transcript shows your conferred Bachelor’s degree.
- Submit proof of your Certificate of Clearance from CTC (this involves fingerprinting).
